Responsibilities: ？ Direct and manage the sourcing process to execute Merchant strategies ？ Manage the demand and execution side of sourcing to ensure timely execution of orders ？ Train and educate suppliers on Walmart process and procedures. ？ Department oversight of operational issues with responsibility for timely execution of orders. ？ Source and Develop regional supplier capability to align with the global sourcing strategy ？ Support the long term strategic direction for business & ensure trade benefits are captured for cost savings ？ Drive Souring goals and objectives in region to meet Global Sourcing strategy. ？ Talent Management/development. Talent pipeline review & succession planning. ？ Support the supplier matrix & manage the sourcing of product throughout the region. Identify areas of opportunity ？ Identify Suppliers/factories in region that have capability to deliver cost competitive and quality product. ？ Support production commitments with suppliers, ensuring objectives of product quality, delivery and price are met or exceeded. ？ Develop best practices and process for exceptional results. ？ Drive regional initiatives in line with the Global Sourcing Strategy ？ Look for opportunities for continuous improvement within the business & emphasize implementation. ？ Lead the Sourcing team to collaborate with cross functional teams (Quality, Responsible Sourcing and Compliance) to ensure the factory-base is fully compliant with all Walmart requirements. ？ Contribute to the development of department sourcing strategies. ？ Drive execution of multiple category sourcing strategies and projects ？ Conduct regular supplier assessments and identify areas of opportunity or concern ？ Develop and guide suppliers to improve their capability to deliver value-add options such as sales analysis, replenishment capabilities, product development and market intelligence ？ Oversee and manage the seasonal quotation process and component costing (CCS). Effectively negotiate product and price, and determine creative alternatives to achieve objectives. ？ Understand trade and political issues and incorporate into sourcing decisions. Reduce risk. ？ Ensure that processes are executed in a timely manner and tradeoff options are considered to drive continual merchandise purchases and profits. ？ Work with relevant parties to realize and update all claims and coops related info. ？ Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed Requirements: ？ Regional or global experience in sourcing the product categories. ？ Able to manage within a global sourcing organization and build ownership and teamwork. ？ Deep product manufacturing and supply chain knowledge in Hardline (Patio & Garden) ？ Driven and motivated. Approachable ？ Strategic leadership, planning and thinking skills ？ Cost negotiation experience ？ Experience in assessing supplier capabilities & capacity ？ Experience with working in a cross-functional team environment. ？ Relationship builder – internal and external ？ Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate ？ Team player who always works respectfully with associates and suppliers from different cultures. ？ Able to work under pressure.
